What We Expect

Being an AMOS Student is about more than just receiving support; it’s about stepping up, giving back, and shaping the future.

As an AMOS Student, we expect you to:

  • Aspire to excellence in everything you do
  • Embrace a growth mindset, staying open to feedback, learning, and personal development
  • Make the most of every opportunity, representing yourself and AMOS with professionalism and purpose
  • Contribute to the community by using your talents not just for personal success, but to support your peers, give back to those coming behind you and drive change in society

All this takes place within the safety of an inspirational “family” of like-minded individuals, working towards success, service and changing the narrative for young people of African and Caribbean heritage.

My advice to young people, give 100%, carry yourself well, network and seize opportunities – they may benefit you in the future in ways you might not have imagined. Remel Anno-Barnieh, Amos Alum
