Why We Do It?

We aim to normalise success and change the negative narrative surrounding Britain’s young Black African and Caribbean people

In 2020 Black people had the highest unemployment rate out of all the ethnic groups (8%) (ONS labour market statistic).

Black graduates are almost twice as likely to be unemployed as their white peers a year after leaving college.

Black British people of African and Caribbean heritage are the most underrepresented in key positions throughout the UK.

Only 3% of board members in FTSE 100 companies are Black or minority ethnic (Parker Review Committee, 2020).
