Applying to join The Amos Bursary

Our annual application season runs from mid-November to early February. Please check our Become An Amos Student page for precise dates.

Please check our eligibility criteria. We can only consider applications from students who meet the criteria as outlined.

Yes. We welcome applications from all young people who meet the eligibility criteria.

Definitely not. We welcome applications from students who fulfil our eligibility criteria whatever your field of study or career aspirations

Yes. We welcome applications from siblings.

Unfortunately no. We only accept applications from students in Year 12. For more information please check out our full eligibility criteria.

Currently no. We only accept applications from students who live in London and the West Midlands. Check out the complete list of areas we cover.

You must have the right to work and live in the UK and qualify for home student status at a UK university. If you meet those criteria then you are welcome to check our full eligibility criteria and apply.

Unfortunately no. We only accept applications from students who attend state schools within the areas that we cover.

Please check the list of areas we cover. If your school falls within any of the boroughs/towns listed and meets the criteria of being a state school with low average attainment levels for GCSE or A-level, then select ‘Other’ on the application form and type in the name of your school. If your school falls outside of the list provided, then unfortunately you do not meet the eligibility criteria.

Within two weeks after the application deadline, you will be invited to interview for our Scholars and Associates Programmes or if you are in London, to join our Progressive Network. If you have not heard from us within this time please email [email protected] and include your full name and date of birth.

If you are in London you will be offered a place in our Progressive Network.

Within two weeks after the interview, you will be offered a place on our Scholars or Associates Programmes.

We do not currently have a waiting list. All students who have completed an eligible application will be invited to join one of our three programmes.

For schools, academies and colleges

There are multiple ways you can share this opportunity with your students:

 

  • Share the link to the Become an Amos Bursary Student webpage;
  • Download our School’s Recruitment Poster to put up in your school or share electronically;
  • Email [email protected] to request a visit from one of our students or alumni to talk to your students about their experience on The Bursary and answer questions on how students can apply to join.

Financial aid and tuition

Unfortunately no. We do not provide financial aid in this way. We provide a five-year personal and professional development programme beginning with students in year 12 of a state school in London or the West Midlands of England who meet our eligibility criteria.
